The UNESCO Chair on the Applied Studies of Intangible Cultural Heritage invites you to

The fourth RISE UP Online Networking Event
“What AI Can and Cannot do for Minoritised Languages”
May 22nd at 14:00-17:00 CEST

As AI is a hotly debated topic, especially in regards to its potential for minoritised languages, RISE UP aims to shine a light on recent scientific findings and perspectives. The goal of the event is to open up the conversation for both researchers and community stakeholders, in order to clarify the benefits and limits of this new technology, and to find a good and realistic path forward. During the three hours of the event, various approaches to AI in the context of minoritised languages will be presented, both from a community and a research perspective. The second half of the event will be structured as a moderated panel discussion, where different actors will share their insights, and anyone is welcome to bring up their questions and ideas.

Join us for an afternoon filled with inspiring presentations, insightful discussions and opportunities to get in touch with language enthusiasts!
