Last Friday, the Center for Oriental Studies, Department of Estonian and Comparative Folklore, and Asia Center together with a visiting Prof. Yu Shuang Yao (Fo Guang University, Taiwan) came together to host a ‘moon-warming’ Mid-Autumn Festival celebration at Ülikooli 16! A festive evening was dedicated to the second important holiday in Chinese culture – Moon Festival or Mid-Autumn festival. Without lanterns but with various mooncakes and other treats, students and researchers of our university got to join and enjoying the insightful stories of Prof. Yu Shuang Yao about Taiwanese tradition of the festival.

Thank you, Prof. Yu Shuang and all the participants, for sharing this cultural experience with us!
