The 2024 Conference of the ISFNR Committee on Charms, Charmers, and Charming 

We are happy to announce that the next conference of the ISFNR Committee on Charms, Charmers, and Charming will be held in Helsinki, Finland, on 12–15 June 2024. The theme of the conference is Conflicts and Catastrophes. The conference will explore verbal rituals, whether written or spoken, that aim to change reality. Papers discussing this topic from any discipline, dealing with any region or historical period, are welcome.

The conference is organized by a committee from the Folklore Studies department of the University of Helsinki in collaboration with the Finnish Literature Society. The language of the conference is English.
