The Estonian Research Council (ETAG) invites students to participate in the 2026 National Contest for University Students. The last day for submissions is 15 September. This year, the total prize fund exceeds €200,000.

Workshop on Network Analysis in the Humanities: registration now open
On May 6-8, the Center for Digital Text Studies (DigiTS), in cooperation with the Institute of Foreign Languages and Cultures, will organize a 3-day workshop on network analysis in the humanities.
UNESCO Chair: new project about migrants’ experiences of securitisation
The UNESCO Chair on Applied Studies of Intangible Cultural Heritage has started a new international research project in cooperation with the Södertörn University from Stockholm, Sweden. Combining theories of membership and security, the project proposes the concept of ‘ambivalent securitization’ to describe situations where migrants are viewed as deserving of membership for economic, humanitarian or other reasons, yet simultaneously perceived as a potential threat.
